About the Work
NFMe is a series of photos inspired by the gluttonous volume of images sold online as NFTs. The series mirrors the mass-generated nature of many NFT collections that claim uniqueness: I generated 320 combinations and refined them to 80, each with a unique background color referencing the CryptoPunks color-coding system - blue for sold, green for wrapped, purple for active bids, red for listings.
At the time of creation, the lowest-priced CryptoPunk sold for $74,603.94, with total sales exceeding $3.04 billion. The display order of my series is randomized by a script to mimic browsing OpenSea.
This project deliberately avoids minting - rejecting the cycle of mass production, resale, and pollution that defines NFT culture.
